I have recently retired after 33 years of teaching science education to students in grades 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10. I am currently a college supervisor for student teachers.
I aim to provide teachers with high quality and original science lesson plans and other material. I offer customizable lesson plans, Smart Notebook and PowerPoint class notes, worksheets, labs, activities, homework and assessments designed for both middle school and high school students.
I have developed creative, thought-provoking, student-centered material for educators that motivate and engage learners. Each lesson communicates concepts and ideas that disseminate scientific knowledge easily through my science lesson plans.
Being a new teacher can be challenging, intimidating and scary when entering the field of education. Although young teachers can get support from colleagues, family, and friends, we have found that many new teachers can benefit from a professional mentor to offer guidance, through their first years of teaching and presenting a new subject. Similar to when you were a student-teacher, we can help you create, design or modify your science lessons plans, improve your skills, and critique you to help make you better and more comfortable in the classroom, with parents and with your administrators.
My science lesson plans contains class notes designed with instructional objectives to help student achieve a set of intended learning outcomes.
A collections of tests and quizzes that consist of both objective and essay questions constructed so that student knowledge, understanding and skills can be measured with high reliability.
A variety of meaningful science lesson plans and activities that develop knowledge and understanding of scientific ideas and reflect on the main concepts and skills of the unit.
This unit will provide science lesson plans to help transition students into the new school year. Included are a variety of worksheets that can be used to welcome students, inform them of classroom procedures and policies, and communicate expectations.
This unit contains science lesson plans developed to teach students the skills and character traits of a scientist. Students will be able to identify the concepts of observing , inferring, and predicting, and apply these scientific processes though various worksheets and investigations.
In this unit science lesson plans have been developed to teach students to learn each branch of science ( earth science, biology, physics, chemistry) and classify the topics of study in each branch. Activities in the unit will tie the connection between each branch of science.
Science lesson plans developed to teach students the proper usage of lab equipment and to follow appropriate safety procedures while demonstrating these techniques in the laboratory through various experiments.
Science lesson plans in this unit explain to students how to use appropriate tools safely and accurately to measure length, mass, volume, density, and temperature when conducting experiments in the laboratory.
Science lesson plans developed to allow students to recognize the steps of the scientific method, make observations inferences and predictions, identify the procedures used to gather data, hypothesize, compare independent, dependent and controlled variables, graph, perform experiments, and draw conclusions that develop their understanding of scientific ideas.
Science lesson plans developed to teach students to compare the classification systems designed by Aristotle and Carolus Linnaeus to that of the modern day classification system, understand the scheme of classification, binomial nomenclature and construct dichotomous keys.
Science lesson plans provide the necessary teaching material to explain how matter is recycled in an ecosystem. Topics and activities include oxygen-carbon cycle, water cycle, and nitrogen cycle.
Science lesson plans created to describe how the flow of energy is transferred to from producers to consumers to decomposers in an ecosystem. Activities are geared to constructing food chains, food webs and energy pyramids.
Science lesson plans that teach students to identify, label describe and compare and contrast the parts of a cell in animals, plants and one -celled living things.
Science lesson plans created to name ,label, and identify the parts and functions of the compound microscope. Students will learn how to prepare wet-mount slides , use appropriate staining techniques and measurements while examining objects under compound microscope.
Science lesson plans developed to allow student to recognize the difference between the terms living ,nonliving and dead and to identify the characteristics unique to living things.
Science lesson plans developed to teach students to analyze populations and communities and compare how they change over time. Key concepts in theses activities will focus on habitats, niches, and limiting factors of a population.
Science lesson plans created to explain and illustrate the process of photosynthesis. Class notes activities are designed to explain how light energy is converted to chemical energy.
Science lesson plans developed to allow student to connect the relationships among organisms. Students will investigate how organisms interact with one another through parasitism, commensalism and mutualism.
Science lesson plans created to teach students how to interpret the Periodic Table of Elements, predict the properties of elements, and draw atomic models.
Science lesson plans developed to help students identify the characteristics of mixtures and compare heterogeneous and homogenous mixtures.
Science lesson plans designed to describe and illustrate how atoms of elements combine to form compounds.
